Amalgam Comics: Marvel Comics # 9- Iron Lantern
Iron Lantern aka Hal Stark (Hal Jordan and Tony Stark) delivers H.E.C.T.O.R. (Highly Evolved Creature Totally Oriented For Revenge) to Oa the Living Planet. H.E.C.T.O.R. is based off Hector Hammond and M.O.D.O.K. Oa is an amalgamation of itself and Ego the Living Planet
Stark is late for a test flight and his work associate Pepper Ferris (Pepper Potts and DC’s Carol Ferris) must perform the demonstration. Also present are Happy Kalmaku (Happy Hogan and DC’s Pieface Kalmaku) and Stewart Rhodes (John Stewart and James Rhodes)
Stark’s backstory is revealed where, after trying to modify a flight simulator, he was levitated in it to a crash site where he landed violently and used the alien technology belonging to a Rhomann Sur (Marvel’s Rhomann Dey and Abin Sur) to create a suit of armor that would keep his heart beating after it was pierced by shrapnel using a lantern-like battery
Stark saves Potts from nearly crashing after a malfunction
At a reception for a senator later that evening, Stewart confesses his suspicions that the plane was sabotaged
As Pepper leaves the reception for some night air after a rude remark from her father (the Senator) she touches a randomly floating purple gem in the air and becomes Madame Sapphire (DC’s Star Sapphire and Marvel’s Madame Masque)
Kyle O’Brien (DC’s Kyle Rayner and Marvel’s Kevin O’Brien) sneaks off to conspire and take Iron Lantern’s suit as Kyle once stood in for Hal Stark as the Green Guardsman
Madame Sapphire attacks the reception through her minion Great White (Marvel’s Ultimo and DC’s King Shark)
Iron Lantern takes Great White into space by formulating a rocket strapped to him
Rhodes and Happy sense something is amiss and go to the generator room where Kyle is. Kyle attempts to them but Happy lays a smackdown and stops him from taking Stark’s battery
As Iron Lantern is battling Great White in space, his power disconnects when Kyle gets his hands on the battery
Iron Lantern uses his reserve power to destroy Great White. He’s then pulled to Earth
The end of the issue reveals it was all orchestrated by Mandarinestro (Mandarin and Sinestro)
