X-Men Masterworks Vol. 3

• Issues 22-31

• The five X-Men are attacked by 5 seemingly silly villains known as Plantman, The Scarecrow, Porcupine, Eel, and Unicorn

• They are taken to Count Nefaria, leader of the Maggia who blackmails them into having to steal $1 million from D.C. for him lest they be framed for it. He offered them to join but they refuse

• Nefaria’s plan is thwarted

• The X-Men deal with The Locust who they redeem

• A Latin-American man known as El Tigre takes the Pendant of Kukulkan out of the Museum of New York and becomes Holocaust, imbued with Kukulkan’s power

• El/Tigre/Holocaust is defeated

• The X-Men defeat Mimic again who is under the control of Pupper Master and release the hold on him

• The X-men meet and battle Sean Cassidy aka The Banshee and The Ogre

• Banshee is revealed to have been controlled by The Ogre through a headband and is freed by the X-men

• He was forced to work for an organization called Factor Three

• The X-men battle the Super-Adaptoid who proves to be too much. Mimic is the only one able to match him. Adaptoid is defeated and Mimic reconciles with the X-men

• The X-men are confronted by Warlock who is really Merlin from the 12th century. He is defeated

• Jean’s “boyfriend’s” brother Ralphie Roberts formerly worked for Stark Industries and built a suit of his own dubbed Cobalt Man

• His brother Ted attempts to stop him from confronting Iron Man for keeping the secrets of his armor to himself and Tony Stark

• The Cobalt Man suit makes Ralphie unstable mentally

• He is stopped by the X-men and is amnesiac as he reunites and goes home with Ted
