X-Men Masterworks Vol. 2

• Issues 11-21

• A cosmic entity called The Stranger visits Earth. Both the X-Men and Brotherhood attempt to recruit him

• The Stranger takes Magneto and Toad with him into space to study them

• Xavier’s stepbrother comes to the mansion and attacks it, seeking to kill Xavier. His name is Cain Marko and goes by The Juggernaut

• Cain had bullied Xavier growing up and found the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak while serving together in the Korean War becoming the Unstoppable Juggernaut

• By removing Cain’s helmet which protected him from psychic attacks, Xavier uses his powers to render him unconscious

• Bolivar Trask designs the Sentinels to keep the newly arised ‘mutant menace’ in check by guarding the human race from them

• Instead they logically deduce that humans must be enslaved and governed if Sentinels are to protect them optimally as humans are too weak to protect themselves as well as eradicating all mutants

• The Sentinels take Trask to Master Mold who demands Trask give him the knowledge to create more Sentinels

• Trask sacrifices his life to take Master Mold down and the rest of the Sentinels with it after realizing the mistake he’s made

• Magneto returns and attacks the X-Men. Xavier summons the Stranger through Cerebro who is after Magneto again

• The X-Men deal with Calvin Rankin aka The Mimic

• Xavier tells Jean about how Lucifer was responsible for the loss of his legs

• Lucifer dropped a large slab of stone on him

• Lucifer and his master The Supreme One, plan to use their great machine Dominus to rid all humans of their free will so they may be conquered

• The Supreme One banishes Lucifer and Dominus into another dimension for failure after being defeated by the X-Men
