Magneto has several of the Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) kidnapped in Avengers 110 and 111
He’s learned to control people’s will by controlling the iron in their blood in their brains
He controls all 4 X-men sans Beast and the kidnapped Avengers and attacks the Atomic Energy of Commission in Maryland
He attempts to force them in telling them how he can obtain the country’s atomic energy to create more mutants
In Incredible Hulk 172, Hulk has become captive to Colonel John D. Armbruster at Hulkbuster Base One
He (Hulk) was very close to attaining peace and had just buried his mutual enmity with General Ross
Dr. Peter Corbeau and Armbruster try to send Hulk to another dimension and inadvertently get the Juggernaut in return
Hulk and Juggernaut team up but Hulk just wants to be left alone
Hulk battles Juggernaut after he attacks an innocent man. Hulk manages to take his helmet off then leaves, leaving the X-men to defeat him
In Captain America 172-175, the X-men and Captain America and Falcon join forces to plan an attack on the Secret Empire
Xavier explains to Cap that Angel had gone missing when Magneto attacked the X-men and the Avengers, as well as Beast, and Lorna and Alex when she visited him in Hulk 150. Iceman is also missing
Falcon and Cap manage to get in with the Secret Empire and steal an electro-gyro from the Dallas branch of the Brand corporation for Agent 13
The Secret Empire’s goal is to publicly discredit Captain America and replace them with their own hero, Moonstone
Prof X, Jean, Cyclops, Cap, and Falcon find the other 3 X-men, Brotherhood of Mutants (Blob, Unus, Mastermind), Mesmero, and Lorna and Alex captive, their brain energy being siphoned
The Secret Empire is an offshoot branch of Hydra akin to A.I.M.
Their plans are foiled as Cap and Falcon take down Moonstone, and talk show host Quentin Harderman, both who framed Steve Rogers. Agent 1 kills himself
In Marvel Team-Up 23, Iceman and Human Torch take down Equinox the Thermodynamic Man
At the same time, Prof X helps the Defenders (Doctor Strange, Valkyrie, Hulk, Nighthawk) take on Magneto and the Brotherhood (same members as mentioned in the 14th bullet with the addition of Lorelei the Savage Land Mutate) in Defenders 15 & 16
He has created the ultimate mutant called Alpha
They attack the U.N. in NYC after which Alpha gains clarity and morality and turns on Magneto and transforms him and the Brotherhood into babies. He then flies off into space
In Incredible Hulk 180, the Hulk finds himself in Canada again (Quebec), after which the government decided they must use Weapon X against him
While in the forest, Hulk hears a voice calling him to a cave
Inside the cave is woman named Marie and her friend Georges
Marie is attempting to transfer the Wendigo who currently inhabits her brother Paul into the Hulk. Georges objects against this
Wendigo arrives and engages in battle with Hulk. Weapon X arrives who also goes by The Wolverine

In Giant-Size Fantastic 4 #4, The Thing meets Jamie Madrox aka The Multiple Man who is then taken into Xavier’s custody
In Marvel Team-Up 38, Griffin kills the doctor who made him the way he is by orders from the Secret Empire
Spiderman and Beast team up to take him down together
Note: This post is followed by Uncanny X-Men Masterworks Vol. 1. The status quo changes for the X-Men such as:
Cyclops and Jean are officially in an exclusive relationship as are Polaris and Havok
Havok and Polaris live on Muir Island along with Jamie Madrox with a new character named Moira Mactaggart who had a romantic history with Professor X
This is the next we see Banshee, Wolverine, and Sunfire again being recruited into the New X-Men to save the old team
Magneto is again an adult
Magneto’s Brotherhood is disbanded as Mystique will form her own new team in Days of Future Past and Mastermind will have joined the newly introduced Hellfire Club in the preceding Dark Phoenix Saga
