Civil War- X-Men
The 198 mutants taking refuge at the X-mansion begin a riot to escape and the X-men are called in
Cyclops, X-men leader, allows the 198 to leave lest there be casualties
The 198 being kept on the ground of the mansion was matter of safety for humans
Cyclops is at odds with Bishop who is working with the government’s Sentinel ONE program (Office of National Emergency). Cyclops and the X-men were called to assist Sentinel One but Cyclops did not want bloodshed
Cyclops devises a plan for his X-men to openly oppose Sentinel One which means opposing Bishop
He sides with Steve Rogers’ faction and asks him if he knows where the 198 may be before Bishop’s Sentinels find them
Two X-Force members, Shatterstar and Domino, take the 198 to a desert bunker in Nevada. They are also the two who broke the 198 out
Two shady antagonists, one an authority figure, another who is blackmailed to act on his orders. The latter has the ability to feed DNA into his chest which hosts a sentient alien creature and is able to mold a figure from the DNA. The authority figure works for Sentinel One and has the other man mold a figure of Cyclops
Being able to control Cyclops, Cyclops unwillingly shoots his concussive beams full force at Bishop who is unable to contain it and is forced to blast skywards
The 198 inside the bunker debate about interfering in the conflict right outside
Lorelei of the 198 explains that Cyclops behaviour is because of Johnny Dee (the man with the alien creature) and she had seen him with a figure of Magma who he used to incinerate an innocent man named Absolom Mercator
The 198 don’t know who to trust after Johnny Dee begins controlling them one at a time and turns them on each other
Johnny Dee discover that there’s WMDs in the bunker
General Lazer is the name of the authority figure. Valerie Cooper suspects he’s behind the conflict because she knows what Johnny Dee can do and knows Lazer obtained mutant DNA samples from the Pentagon
General Lazer and Johnny Dee are busted
Bishop receives a call from Cooper explaining the situation. There is a ceasefire. He also learns that Lazer has initiated the failsafe protocol for the WMDs
The protocol initiates a lockdown which starts a countdown and leads the 198 inside
As Lazer is being interrogated by Cooper, Johnny Dee breaks his neck, having touched him at some point
Together, Cyclops and Bishop, Iron Man, and Carol Danvers destroy the bunker door and manage to free the 198. The mutant Leech saves Cyclops from destruction
Johnny Dee is incarcerated
