Alfred Pennyworth is a mercenary and is told to surveil a terrorist group called the Party Animals
He has authorization to engage the other player keeping tabs on the Party Animals
The Party Animals murder people and cause chaos every day
A figure named Roman who wears a mask kills Carmine Falcone and Salvatore Maroni
Alfred observes the player beating up PAs (Party Animals) at City Hall and is impressed by his skills and brutality
This player is known as The Batman
A flashback shows Batman’s father being shot at the Gotham City zoo while on a class trip. Batman’s real name is Bruce Wayne
Alfred has been chasing a target called The Joker for 5 years who is now in the wind
A geographical information system chip in a PA mask shows multiple targets they plan to hit
One of the targets is mayoral candidate Hill’s campaign office where Batman investigates on the computer about a big income source for Hill
He finds a folder that says Gotham on it and another folder inside that says Ark M
It’s a setup as Roman appears on a big screen and tells Batman the GCPD has been called
Batman gets out and runs into Pennyworth who wants to work together to take down the PAs
Pennyworth tells Batman that the leader of the PAs may be Roman Sionis aka Black Mask
Pennyworth advises Batman to take whatever deal Roman offers him so that attacks in Gotham are decreased
Bruce and his friend Harvey Dent talk and Harvey tells him that Ark M is funded by a company called JK Holdings and that it invests in building private prisons
These “black sites” dabble in bioengineering and genetic experimentation
Black Mask offers Batman $2million to stand down for a week
Batman gets beaten up by Black Mask and his own weapons
People in Gotham open up crates around the city with black masks in them that hide any wearer’s identity, has a network of cryptocurrency called Black Coin, and provides valuations on specific targets
Mayor James Gordon and Martha Wayne (deputy mayor) are both worth $1 million
Batman finds Black Mask on his yacht and shuts down the server to the masks
Pennyworth begins working with Bruce
A man reports to the man called Joker telling him that Black Mask reported a snag in the city
Joker tells the man to get Bane
