Uncanny X-Men 169/170

• Angel’s girlfriend Candy Southern finds his feathers on the floor in their apartment and calls Xavier telling him she thinks he’s been attacked

• A being named Sunder appears and tells Candy he’s there to hurt her

• At Amanda Sefton’s apartment (Nightcrawler’s girlfriend and former adoptive sister), he, Storm, Colossus, and Kitty Pryde are briefed on what happened to her

• The four X-men track Angel with a mini-cerebro

• They track Angel’s brainwaves down into the sewers where they are ambushed by people

• As fast as they are attacked they disappear making Storm think they were being tested

• They find Angel tied up and pinned to the wall by a woman named Callisto

• She leads the Morlocks who are named after the same Morlocks from H.G. Wells The Time Machine

• Her intent is to marry him because she is infatuated by his looks and therefore has started to clip his wings

• Kitty meanwhile who was touched by a Morlock named Plague, wakes up on a bed after going unconscious and is being treated by a Morlock named Caliban who she’s previously met and says he’s in love with her

• Cyclops is figuring out whether he likes Madelyne Pryor only because of Jean Grey who she resembles 

• Callisto explains that that Morlocks hide underground because of their appearances

• Storm challenges Callisto to a fight which will earn her the right to lead the Morlocks

• Storm beats Callisto after stabbing her in the abdomen. Callisto is then healed by another Morlock. The X-men take Angel

• Cyclops reveals his mutant nature to Madelyne
