Punisher kills Stilt-Man and a pedophile named Fulvio
Castle is being hunted by Bridge who is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. This is also happening in the midst of the Superhuman Civil War
Bridge wants Castle dead
Punisher sets out to find and kill Staurt Clarke, an inventor like Tinkerer
Castle doesn’t believe Clarke that Ironman let criminals escape to apprehend anti-reg heroes
Castle tracks the two villains who were ganging on Spiderman in the tunnels and kills them
Bridge quits as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent so he can bring Castle down without any parameters
Castle joins Captain America’s anti-reg team under condition that he follow his orders
Cap beats Castle up after gunning two supervillains working with Cap. Cap tells Frank to hit him back but Castle refuses. Castle was in the same situation before when being trained by Cap as a Marine
Punisher blows up a bar full of villains including Rhino, Shocker, Armadillo, and Absorbing Man while they were respecting Stilt-Man at a wake
In Times Square, a man named Bushwacker holds a woman hostage and demands Frank Castle
The NYPD and a federally deputized Bridge deal with the situation
A volunteer cop named Ian attempts to handle it alone
Castle shows up. He knows Bridge set it up with Bushwacker to lure him out
Captain America’s death is broadcast in Times Square for everyone to see
A group of racist terrorists make a false call to American police stating that a coyote smuggled Arab terrorists who were taking a bomb to San Diego
The terrorists actually bombed a lay-up immigrant colony on the Mexican side of the border
Frank gets himself initiated with the radicals. The leader calls himself Hate-Monger
A little in the future, Hate-Monger has Castle tied up and beaten. He has Castle dressed in a uniform resembling Captain America’s with the addition of his skull
Bridge is formally let go from S.H.I.E.L.D. by Director Stark
Hate-Monger’s followers are called the National Force
It was Frank’s plan to dress up using Captain’s costume in black and skull to get in with the National Force
Frank is shown the National Force’s headquarters
For an initiation, Frank must kill someone who happens to be Clarke’s girlfriend Tatiana
Frank is in and on his way to a lay-up colony. He puts the suit on then begins killing National Force members there
This is when he’s restrained by NF and then beaten up by Hate-Monger
Several of Hate-Monger’s men are shot by sniper and it turns out to be G.W. Bridge who wants Castle for himself. He was tipped off by Clarke
Bridge wants to kill Castle but lets him go so he can save Clarke who is there to save and extract Tatiana
Castle puts Hate-Monger down who confirms Castle beat Tati up
Clarke kills the Customs and Border officer who told the NF about Tati because she’s a reporter and he was coerced
Bucky confronts Castle in front of the Lincoln Memorial about wearing Cap’s costume and tainting it with the skull
Bridge admits to Director Stark he let Castle go
After a brief fight, Castle gives the uniform to Bucky and tells him Cap’s mask is in a dead drop
The next arc takes place during World War Hulk. One of Hulk’s warbound named Mung the Inconceivable is attacking NYC
Frank saves a little girl from Mung and his cronies and takes her back to her family
Castle convinces Mung to fight him and spare the little girl and her family when they evacuate the city
Clarke gives Castle a protective suit he made out of the Venom symbiote to fight against Mung
Frank kills Mung
