  • Issues 32-42

  • Xavier has kept Juggernaut comatose in a secret room since their last encounter

  • Many centuries ago in Korea, when it was known as Joseon, the Ancient One found the Temple of Cyttorak and battles its guardian Xorak

  • Using the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, the Ancient One pulls Xorak into the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak where exists another dimension

  • The X-men are involved in a rivalry between Mole Man and Tyrannus. The issue is resolved by both having their memories wiped

  • The X-men and Banshee mistake Spiderman for being a member of Factor Three

  • They deal with a small-timer called Mekkano 

  • They are abducted by Factor Three who are holding Banshee and Xavier hostage. The group consists of Blob, Mastermind, Vanisher, Unus the Untouchable, The Changeling who is 2nd in command, and The Mutant Master who is the leader

  • The X-men are held on trial for ‘betraying’ homo superior and defending homo sapiens

  • Mutant Master’s four subordinates turn their back on him and team up with the X-men to destroy him after learning he’s an alien from the Sirius star system who planned to conquer the planet

  • Mutant Master commits suicide after failing instead of enduring defeat and capture

  • The X-men deal with Frankenstein’s monster who in 616 is an android created by an alien race, sent to Earth to communicate with humans but went rogue. It truly was pursued by his masters to the Arctic where it was frozen and reawakened. Mary Shelly then wrote a fictional story about The Monster

  • Prince Gor-Tok, a subterranean humanoid who has lived on Earth for billions of years and lost all of his race after a volcanic eruption, emerges again as Grotesk and has a score to settle with humans who he believes were responsible for the death of his race

  • Prof X dies while stopping Grotesk from using a machine that creates quakes that he overloads causing it to explode and kill Grotesk as well

  • Xavier convinces F.B.I. agent Fred Duncan to work with him to find mutants and convinces him not to begin a witchhunt against them of which the fear and paranoia towards mutants began creeping in after Cyclops publicly uses his powers to save a group of people from a falling beam.The bigotry and prejudice and the legacy of the X-men and mutantdom begins here

  • Using a prototype of Cerebro known as Cyberno, Xavier keeps tabs on Scott Summers

  • Scott Summers and Xavier take down the Living Diamond, an early mentor to Scott who tried to corrupt him. Xavier then offers him to become an X-Man to find and help other mutants to which Scott accepts and becomes the first X-man
