Against advice from Iron Man, Cyclops, and Emma Frost, Wolverine vows to find and kill Nitro for what occurred in Stamford

Wolverine travels with a S.H.I.E.L.D. team that Tony Stark puts together to apprehend Nitro in Big Sur, California. Nitro easily does away with them by exploding and reducing Wolverine to a skeleton which Wolverine recovers from

Before Wolverine tries to kill Nitro, Nitro tells him he was supplied with pills known as Mutant Growth Hormone which allowed him to kill 600 people in Stamford

Before Nitro reveals the name, 3 people interfere with one of them fighting Wolverine and possessing significant strength

The 3 turn out to be Atlanteans on orders from Namor to apprehend Nitro and bring him to justice for the death of Namorita. Namor appears at the scene 

Namor knocks Wolverine out and takes Nitro to Atlantis along with his emissaries 

Stark lends Wolverine a submersible Iron Man suit to confront Namor. Nitro has information that Wolverine wants 

Nitro murders an Atlantean who had been interrogating him and had gotten the name of the man who supplied the MGH- Walter Declun, head of Damage Control

Wolverine goes to Damage Control HQ and exposes Declun. He steals a data-miner and gets it to Forge who interprets the data on it and discovers that Declun is deliberately trying to set up superhero conflicts to profit off it. This includes the MGH he provided to Nitro so he could profit off a bigger mess

After being apprehended by S.H.I.E.L.D. for violating the Superhuman Registration Act, he escapes and confronts Declun and stabs him through the face

A flashback to the moment where Wolverine was disintegrated by Nitro shows him conversing with Jean Grey in a spiritual realm and battling with Azrael the Angel of Death. This is revealed to be what happens every time Wolverine is actually killed when he suffers an experience beyond what his healing factor can bring him back from. Defeating Azrael in battle each time allows Wolverine to resurrect himself
