  • They fall even further underground into a city still living in the early 20th century where Venom kills the aggressors and some of the citizens who are skeptical want Venom dead but are stopped by those who vouch for and proclaim Venom’s noble acts

  • Eddie is allowed to stay temporarily as the town council decides whether to accept or reject him. The council ultimately decides he must go and as he leaves sorrowfully, he decides to go after the man responsible for harassing the people in the hopes they’ll accept him if he stops him

  • While Peter visits Brock’s dad to try and find Brock, Brock pays a visit to Treece International to look for Roland Treece- the man who claims he is financing the renovation of the park above the underground city as a gift to SF

  • Peter returns as Spiderman to Brock Sr’s home to ask about Eddie again and refuses to cooperate but a housekeeper helps Spidey out

  • Venom is attacked but gives the slip again to The Jury

  • The housekeeper doesn’t help much by way of giving Peter Venom’s location but relays Eddie’s past with his father and how it’s come to be a damaged relationship giving Peter insight on his enemy

  • Just as Venom gets into a 3rd encounter with the Jury, Roland Treece saves him, offering him to be his head of security for the renovation project. Venom senses a trap but accepts anyway

  • Spidey encounters one of the 5 (Scream) in Santa Cruz

  • Back in SF, Treece has captured a citizen of the underground to coerce info out of him. He knows there is gold there and if the people of the city find it and make it public then SF could claim it therefore he wishes to eliminate the subterranean inhabitants

  • Venom has been forcefully removed from Eddie who is immune to sonic attacks and uses this advantage to escape captivity

  • Eddie attempts to reach out to his offspring who rebuff him

  • After defeating the Symbiotes, the LF resorts to exploding the facility to cut any connection to the apparent deaths

  • Both Spidey and Venom escape separately and head to SF- Venom to get vengeance on Treece and Spidey who follows him

  • Venom attacks Treece’s home. An underling is coerced into telling him the history of the gold there and that is why Treece is attacking the citizens. He rushes off to stop him

  • Venom and Spidey cross paths and Venom asks Spidey to help him

  • As Treece is getting away, Venom risks his life by going through fire to stop him which he does then escapes just as Spidey checks on him and is about to hand him over to the authorities

  • Treece turns himself in and Eddie is a nomad again. The council from the underground city vote again and this time decide to take him in as a token of gratitude

  • In a text box at the conclusion of the story it says that even though Venom does try to be a hero, innocents are always hurt…..
